ReplyDeletethese seem to be polarizing. Half love them and half think they look terrible...very little in between.
ReplyDeleteI think that's GW's influence. If squats had never existed, no one would care about these. But since some people see these as "sticking it" to Games Workshop suddenly it's the "long awaited release for the hordes of frustrated squats fans who GW so clearly despises". :)

I'm sure there's a little bit of 'sticking it to GW' in there, but it wouldn't suprize me if we see a lot of earth/red tones on the Orx making for some nicely contrasting colourschemes.
ReplyDeleteThough I'm personally no longer a GW fan (one too many back customer experiences), I really like these because of the design. Though naturally Mantic's prizing does help out as well ;-)
I'm particularly looking forward to seeing some of those promised vehicles and getting more info on the other races. Fan or not, Mantic is definitely putting quite a lot of effort into Warpath so far!
Beasts of War will have a Warpath weekend with a lot of sneaks. Too bad Mantic never showed any interest in directly working with the Fix :(
