From their announcement :
"Dreadfleet is a boxed game for two (or more) players that includes everything you need to make war on the turbulent seas of the Warhammer world. At your command are two fleets of ships- the Dreadfleet led by the Vampire Count Noctilus, aboard his gargantuan sea-hulk the Bloody Reaver; and the Grand Alliance commanded by the Pirate Captain Jaego Roth, who recently stole the Heldenhammer - the pride of the Imperial Fleet, and one of the largest galleons to ever sail the high seas."

Personally I feel this could have been done better with two clear sides, rather than a jumble sale of whacky ship designs. But many seem to like this.
ReplyDeleteOnly the sales of boxes will determine its success.
Hopefully revamps of Warhammer Quest and such will follow?
You're one among many to hope for Warhammer Quest, that would be good but only after a Blood Bowl new edition ;)
ReplyDeleteDoubtful Warhammer Quest will ever be redone. I can't see the costs of it contributing to the profit margins they must make on these limited articles. At the time I remember an article saying they made almost no margin on warhammer quest it had 4 books in it and a half kilo of plastic and another kilo of tiles and counters. Plus how would you market it as a limited product? At least with the OZ-NZ Mark up we would not be able to afford such a re-release were it to ever appear!
