Corvus Belli published new details about the Aristeia! Prime Time expansion:
Prime Time can be played in any of the HexaDomes released so far, but we would recommend you to start by using the design that has been specifically designed for multiplayer matches.Since Teams have been reduced, we have downsized the gaming area, thus favoring and promoting player interaction, as Aristeia! is a system in which both the active and reactive player act at the same time.Teams are reduced to 2 Characters. In this way, turns and player decision-making have become shortened.
Prime Time does not use the Infirmary.
The 2 Characters chosen for a player’s Team add their 4 Tactics, so the Tactics deck in Prime Time is made up of 18 cards. Therefore, yet another decision-making phase during the preparation of the match has been removed.
In Prime Time, there are only two Running Orders and both are public. Instead of each player having their own Running Order in their Control Panel, there is a single panel with both Running Orders printed on it - each with as many positions as the number of players. The mechanic remains the same as the standard mode: two Initiative cards are flipped each turn in the same position and Characters are activated by their Initiative order.
In addition to sharing both Running Orders, players will take turns to place their Initiative cards in whatever free position they wish - so Prime Time keeps the strategic factor of the activations despite the downsizing of Teams.
