Catalyst Game Labs - First Succession War Release

Catalyst Game Labs released the First Succession War supplement for BattleTech:

With the exception of the Star League Sourcebook, all through the 80s and 90s, all FASA books always either dealt with the current timeline or pushed that timeline forward. However, the universe has almost a thousand years of history to cover. And most of it covered only briefly. After all, in a 200 page book covering 1,000 years, you can only be so detailed. However, what if we launched a series of “Historicals” that went back and provide a full sourcebook-stye treatise on those earlier times?
And the first one to tackle, for me, was the War of 3039. Previously only touched upon in extreme brevity in the novel Heir to the Dragon and the 20 Year Update (as well as small references sprinkled throughout the Field Manual series). Yet it’d always fascinated me, so I tasked the Chrises (Christ Hartford and Christoffer Trossen) in tackling that book and they made it work in spades.
And now we’ve published seven such sourcebooks, much less others like Era Report: 2750, Field Manual: SLDF, and more. And now the First Succession War adds to that great body of work.
