Runecast Miniatures - Hungry Dwarf Swordplayer Preview

Runecast Miniature presents the 5th of their Dwarf Swordplayers:

My newest Swordplayer shows this to full extent. He is somewhat "stronger of build" compared to his unit mates which might be the result of being unable to resist a quick snack even when battle is nigh to commence. The helmet is a triple-ridged burgonet, for the rest of the armor I focused on a more realistic approach compared to my first Bidenhänder Dwarfs of the Command Group. That leaves me having to sculpt one more Swordplayer to reach my goal of 6 troopers for my Bidenhänder elite unit.

Runecast Miniatures - Lansquenet-Dwarf Swordplayer Preview

Runecast Miniatures presents the first of their Lansquenet-Dwarf Swordplayers:

A promise was made that the Lansquenet-Dwarf Bidenhänders will be the first to get reinforcements so I used the time before the holidays to sculpt a first trooper called "Schwertspieler 1" (Swordplayer 1).
As the other Bidenhänder Dwarfs his upper body is clad in solid dwarven steel, his helmet is a rare cabasset, or "Birnhelm" in german language. To sculpt such a helmet was inspired by a fellow called Fernando, who contacted me with some ideas concerning Lansquenet Dwarfs. He is the first of 6 Swordplayers I plan to release in the next couple of months. Number 2 is already more than half done and will be revealed as soon as I get him finished.
