I am very confused why Puppetswar has elected to use the word Necron. Surely "Space Robot" would get them the same imagery without flying right in the face of the IP policy. Bizarre choice.
After the Chapterhouse Studio court case, it doesn't matter anymore. As long as they produce a miniature that was only developed as a concept by GW, it is not protected. I guess they are making the Necron Walker, AFAIK there is no artwork in the Codex, therefore the design is not protected. According to the court ruling, Puppetswar can produce anything that has not been visualized by GW in any form.
